Soaking Up Some Afternoon Light

This past week has been so gloomy and rainy.  It was so great to see some sun today and have the temperture be nice enough to get outside for a bit.  Ethan brought his new hat this weekend, that has a resemblance to one that he used to always wear of his dads. He looks just like his dad when he wears this hat.  Mariah got a beautiful new vest from her Grandma, and she was all about showing it off for some photos. The light was beautiful this afternoon and I am so happy with how these photos turned out. So here are some some shots of the kiddies enjoying some afternoon time outside.

Life Inspired.... Life Captured....

This is my new slogan, but it is not just a slogan, more my mission. It is my mission because it is what I truly value about my art, my photography and how I want others to view my art and my photography. In this last year I have thought about what road I want to take as a photographer and the type of photography I want to offer. I really believe in order to make this dream a reality, I need to do what I love and put my heart in to my art. So my journey will be  about life. Lifestyle photography is where my heart really lies. I can honestly say it is my passion. It is what makes me want to get my camera out. Lifestyle photography is about documenting life. Life is beautiful, messy, exciting, heartfelt, and truthful. This is what I want to photograph and how I want to photograph your memories. No studios, no backdrops, just life being captured in a natural real envirionment. I hope you will continue to follow me on this journey, and I hope I can inspire you to want to capture your memories, the everyday and the special moments that monument our lives. Afterall, when we look back in 5, 10, 20 years. We will want to remember the moments of every day life, the parts of life that make us who we are.  The photos I am posting below are examples of the style of photography I plan to offer.  I am excited and have never been more passionate about my photography.   I would love to hear your comments or feedback if you would like to comment on this post.   Happy 2013! Let's Do This!
